Before I was introduced to Unreal Tournament and other snazzy FPS ...back in the day I was a hard core Mechwarrior fanboy and spent many hours playing the various MechWarrior games.  I miss them.  Anyhow, this is not even close to the mechs in the games.  Still, I think it would look cool somewhere in a corner in my condo.  Is this a cry for help??

An Italian technology firm, HAL9000, has created an online mega-composite of Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper at an incredible 16 gigapixel resolution (about 2,000 times more detailed than a standard digital photograph). The picture above shows the hands of the person sitting next to Jesus in the Last Supper (the individual that Dan Brown claimed to be Mary Magdalene in The Da Vinci Code), at only a 6% zoom.

Saw this on Neatorama and thought it was cool.

ArtCar Fest 2007, the West Coast’s largest gathering of art cars, takes place September 28th-30th around the Bay Area. The event kicks off this Thursday with the annual caravan from San Francisco to Berkeley, followed by an ArtCars Under the Stars benefit for Epic Arts & ArtCar Fest Thursday evening at Lawrence Hall of Science at the University of California in Berkeley. On Friday the art cars will be visiting schools around the area and on Saturday they will be down at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History. The festival finishes up with the art cars joining the legendary How Berkeley Can You Be? parade on Sunday. Here’s the full schedule.

Not sure if the car I saw was part of some ArtCar festival, but I think it somewhat pails in comparison to the other car's shown here - Harrod Blank Art Car Agency.  Anyhow, the ArtCar Festival is one car show I'd like to go check out!

Before you write "wash me" on someone's dirty car, you should think about being more original.  Check out Scott Wades collection of Dirty Car Art.  "Escape to...The Desert!" is my personal fav....

Catching up on some of my favorite sites, and I came across this - Little People - a tiny street art project.  A clever use of perception.  I particularly like Rubbish and For Sale / Sold.  Very cool!
