Before it's too late, hop over to http://digital-photography-school.com/blog/how-to-photograph-fireworks/ and get some tips on photographing fireworks. Or you can be lazy like me, put your camera on a tripod and select fireworks mode on the camera. Your call...
Share a song you listened to in 6th grade.
For me, it would of been 1984/1985. Say what you will about the 80s, but there are some great tunes that come from that time frame that can still be enjoyed today. One of my all time favorite is Dire Straits hit, "Money for Nothing".
Another great 80s hit that still stands in the test of time is Bruce Springsteen's 1985 hit, "Born in USA". For whatever reason, Youtube won't let me embed it, but you can hop over there to see it - Bruce Springteen - Born in the USA.
Not sure why, but my feet always taps to "Sussudio", by Phil Collins. This one definitely has some of the 80's sounds to it with the synthesizer and such. Still, I think you can play this today and get away with it. I think the video is cheesy, so just minimize the video and dance away.
Right...I know I need a family first, but either one of these two cars equals WIN!!!! Watch and see for yourself. The best part of the review is towards the end.
Been having an 80s flashback today with Glenn Frey's song "You Belong to the City" stuck in my head all day long. After watching this, I think I might just hop over to huhu.com and watch me some Miami Vice.
You Belong to the City - Glenn Frey
The sun goes down, the night rolls in
You can feel it starting all over again
The moon comes up and the music calls
You're gettin' tired of starin' at the same four walls
You're out of your room and down on the street
Movin' through the crowd and the midnight heat
The traffic crawls, the sirens scream
You look at the faces, it's just like a dream
Nobody knows where you're goin'
Nobody cares where you've been
'Cause you belong to the city
You belong to the night
Livin' in a river of darkness
Beneath the neon lights
You were born in the city
Concrete under your feet
It's in your moves, it's in your blood
You're a man of the streets
When you said goodbye, you were on the run
Tryin' to get away from the things you've done
Now you're back again, and you're feeling strange
So much has happened, but nothing has changed
You still don't know where you're goin'
You're still just a face in the crowd
You belong to the city
You belong to the night
Livin' in a river of darkness
Beneath the neon lights
You were born in the city
Concrete under your feet
It's in your blood, it's in your moves
You're a man of the street
You can feel it, you can taste it
You can see it, you can face it
You can hear it, hey, you're getting near it, hey
You wanna make it, cause you can take it
You belong to the city, you belong to the night
You belong to the city, you belong to the night
You belong, you belong
It's been a long while since I did this, cause I hate taking self pics. Only had my cell phone handy, so all you get is this. I actually took several others, but I liked this one out of the bunch.
Good night my Vox neighbors...
I'm a few days behind, so this may be old news...

FYI - "14 months in the making, 42 countries, and a cast of thousands."
Thanks JP for telling me I should watch it.

Trying to not eat fast food for a week is tougher than trying to quit smoking. I'm having cravings for mexican, cheeseburgers, Doritos, and cookies. And I'm so getting burned out on salads. I have dropped down a notch on the belt, but food is getting boring.
This is a sad story actually of a lady who's 3' 9", takes in a15 year old runaway and solicits the young girl for sex. Here's the, pardon the pun, short write up - Young Teen Runaway's Alleged Pimp To Face Judge
While tragic, I did get a kick from one the neighbor's quote in the article - "I didn't know she was a pimp, but I'm not surprised." All I can say is WOW.
