I know...I know. I have no good excuses why I haven't done one of these for a while. With that said...
Loathe:
- People not turning on Red when they can.
- Expected to fix every problem at work just because it involves 1s and 0s.
- Making my coffee too strong.
- Missing my Dad for Thanksgiving.
- No more vacation days until January 4th. Plant shutdowns suck! (well at least I could use my vacations days instead of unpaid leave)
- I spend way too much time on Facebook.
Love:
- My new bed. Expensive? Yes, but oh so worth it!
- Reading. I finished another Spencer book the other night. I need to make more time to just read.
- Getting our salary at work, fully re-instated before January. It feels like I got a raise again!!
- Buying music from Amazon/iTunes. This isn't new, but growing up, I paid way too much for CDs where only one or two songs were good. Buying ala' cart is awesome!
- My iPod and podcasts. Cliche? Perhaps, but it's one of my most used devices.
- WW II in HD. Great documentary on the History Channel.
What’s your daily Internet "routine?"
Even though I try to shy away from it, I still spend too much time on Facebook. But of course I go through my usual suspects. Below are those sites I hit most often -
If you could be any age again for one week, what age would you be?
19 - I had so much hair then!! :)
Loathe:
- The flu. At least it's not the dreaded "S" version.
- Neglecting Vox.
- How food tastes when you are sick.
- Having too much junk. Thinking about donating some of my DVDs to the library.
- Soy Milk.
- Cutting myself every time I use a brand new razor. It's like I have to break it in.
Love:
- The TV show - Castle. Just discovered it today, on-line.
- Old scary movies, which in turn, aren't scary.
- Batman graphic novels. Great to read when you are feeling like crap.
- Organic 1% Milk. Decided to switch down from 2%. Organic is the only way to fly if you dare make the move.
- Using a shaving brush and soap. I haven't used it in a while. I forgot how awesome it is.
- Molasses Cookies - I treated myself to a box of Archways. Actually, there's not an Archway cookie that I don't like!
Going to be a short one tonight...
Loathe:
- I've gone on an eating frenzy! Not sure if it's stress or stupidity.
- The Prototype Process in Oracle.
- Leaving my main iPod at work.
- This one person from work. (actually two people)
- X-Men Origins - Wolverine. I finally saw it. Guess I had higher expectations.
Love:
- That I got to go out and take some pictures of the fall leaves. It wasn't super nice out, but I enjoyed it.
- That I've gotten the reading bug again.
- Club Soda. I just wish it was cheaper.
- The Podcasts - Slate's Political Gabfest and Discovery's Friday News Feedbag
- College Football
Thank you Sarah for finding this...
Loathe:
- Facebook - It's been very janky and it's annoying the crap out of me.
- That I'm addicted to Facebook.
- People who talk loud on their cell phones in coffee shops.
- Wendy's Chicken Ceaser Salad - Had one for lunch today, nasty.
- The weather - the times I do want to go out, it's been miserable.
- People not backing up their data. If you need help or have questions, ask me. I'll try to get you started.
Love:
- Getting back in the habit of lifting. There are times where I miss my old philosophy of No pain, No pain. However, I'm starting to feel better about myself, even though I have minimal use of my arms and my chest hurts.
- The leaves are starting to change.
- My crazy dreams. Lord knows I have issues. Last night I dreamed that I was hanging with Joe Paterno. I have no idea why I picked him, but there he was.
- My iPod. I know I bring it up often, but it does provide me much happiness.
- The first two episodes of Family Guy this season have been outrageously funny.
Well, I've been sitting on this one for a while and it took till chapter 18 for me to get into, but I finished it tonight. A Savage Place takes place in Los Angeles. Spencer is hired to help out Candy, who's a reporter trying to prove that she's more than a pretty face. She thinks that she's uncovered a conspiracy with a movie studio and needs Spencer as a body guard. There's no Hawk in this one, so that's a minus. I guess I'm used to him being part of the story. God help me when I read those books before Hawk. On the flip side, you do get to see a side of Spencer that you normally don't see in this story. This should of been a super quick read, but my heart wasn't in it. You should read it cause another book reference the events in this one, but don't put it on top of this list. Being generous here giving it 3 out of 5.
What's your favorite thing about fall?
College football, cooler weather, and the changing leaves of course!
